My Past Does Not Define Me.

they are inside you.”
~Isabel Allende
Hi there,
Do you ever find yourself obsessing over things that had happened in your childhood? Or do you ever feel held back by your family? Maybe you’ve been told you’ve forgotten where you come from?
I often work with folks who feel as if they are betraying their families if they change for the better or find personal growth. Some people experience survivor guilt when they heal or change. And some people feel completely misunderstood or out of sync with the people from their past when they change for the better.
This week’s journal prompts help you uncover areas where there’s room for you to grow and change.
Journal Prompts for the Week:
- What are the limiting beliefs holding me back?
- What are some different ways I can step outside of my comfort zone?
Remember that you are not defined by your past and that you have everything you need inside of you to be capable of evolving.
Be sure to find the support you need for more self-love:
Work with a therapist or coach on my team.
Keep going,
Dr. Hannah
