Hello love,
How are you showing up for yourself these days? Are you loving yourself fully? This month, we’re focusing on self-love. Loving yourself is an important start to creating lasting change in your life.
So often, I work with clients who put themselves at the bottom of their to-do list. They believe that if they prove themselves “loveable enough” by doing as much as they can for others, that then someone will come along and give them permission to love themselves. They are forever waiting and working so hard, hoping someone will give them what they need. But this formula is backwards (it’s also a possible sign of a trauma response) - it’s only when we love ourselves and treat ourselves the way we’ve been hoping others would that we find some relief.
See if you can turn that process around and set a foundation for some self-love this week with this week’s journal prompts!
Journal Prompts for the Week:
1. Write down 5 self-love affirmations. Now post at least one somewhere you will see it regularly, like making it your wallpaper or background, tape it to the fridge, or write it on your bathroom mirror.
2. Look at a photo of yourself at a younger age. What did you love to do as a child? How can you bring more of that into your life?
