31 Ideas for a Dreamy June
Jun 01, 202431 Ideas for a Dreamy June
Summer is almost here! June is an epic month, full of lush flowers, long days, and the summer solstice - the official first day of summer. Make the most of every day with strategies for self-care that will give you a dreamy June. Join us for 31 days of healthy habits to combat burnout and feel refreshed this summer. You can follow the calendar we've created for you or mix and match as you choose.
Week 1:
This week we focus on setting the tone for the rest of the month, with an intention and a new habit.
Themes: feeling grounded and refreshed.
Days 1-7
1. Saturday: Set an intention for the month or for your summer. Our focus this month is to take a step back and dream: to revisit our goals for the year at this midway point and to bring a sense of refreshment into our days. You can borrow this intention or find your own!
2. Sunday: Celebrate Pride your way! Find a local event happening in your town and join in the festivities or create your own celebration at home.
3. Monday: Try a new behavior. Is there a goal or challenge you've been wanting to work on? Make a commitment to try it out this month! Did you know the first Monday of the month is the best day to start a new habit?
4. Tuesday: Make your bed. Starting the day with a task completed helps you feel accomplished and more focused for the rest of the day.
5. Wednesday: Enjoy a nourishing salad with fresh fruit. My favorites: watermelon, lime juice, and mint leaves or strawberries, balsamic, and basil leaves.
6. Thursday: Listen to a new podcast. One option: We Can Do Hard Things.
7. Friday: Take your workout outside: go for a walk, hike, or bike ride and get double the benefits from the nature therapy.
Week 2: Take some time for yourself this week.
Theme: Get cozy.
Days 8-14
8. Saturday: Watch an LGBTQ+ Affirming Movie or Show. Some of my more recent favorites: Heartstopper & Bottoms. For something more serious and dramatic: All of Us Strangers.
9. Sunday: Try a new self-care routine or revisit an old favorite. A few ideas: Take an epsom bath, make a face mask, try dry brushing.
10. Monday: Make your own mocktail. Check out our favorite recipes on Instagram, where we post a new recipe most Mondays.
11. Tuesday: Speak to yourself kindly: choose an affirmation. Check out our Affirmation Journal for our favorite affirmations!
12. Wednesday: Buy yourself flowers. Survive hump day with a little something beautiful for your home or desk.
13. Thursday: Read a self-help book.
14. Friday: Move your body in a new way and meet new people. Is there a physical activity you've been wanting to try? Sign up for a class today!
Week 3: This week’s all about celebration, as we recognize the father-figures in our lives and honor the official start to summer.
Themes: connection and celebration.
Days 15-21
15. Saturday: Hit the farmer’s market for some fresh local produce.
16. Sunday: Celebrate a father figure in your life. Write him a note telling him what he means to you.
17. Monday: Do a social media detox - take the day (or the week!) off of social media.
18. Tuesday: Get enough sleep. Most adults need 7-9 hours per night.
19. Wednesday: Donate to an organization that matters. Sharing is caring!
20. Thursday: It’s the first day of summer! Go watch the sunrise to get 15 minutes of daylight first thing this morning on the longest day of the year.
21. Friday: Write down a list of 10 things you want to prioritize this summer. Journal about what you loved most last summer. Was there anything you felt like you missed out on? Promise yourself you’ll prioritize those things this summer.
Week 4: Show some love for yourself with simple moments of pleasure.
Theme: Feeling nourished and secure.
Days 22-28
22. Saturday: Find a body of water to float on or be near.
23. Sunday: Journal at a coffee shop.
24. Monday: Get some support. Find a therapist or prioritize scheduling with yours if you already have a therapist.
25. Tuesday: Try a sleep meditation or yoga nidra before bed.
26. Wednesday: Take your vitamins and supplements. Is there anything you've run out of that you need to stock up on?
27. Thursday: Focus on hydration: Drink more water.
28. Friday: Make a date with a friend. Reach out to someone you've been wanting to catch up with.
Week 5: Wrap things up. Enjoy the long, languid days of summer before the pace picks up in July.
Theme: Relaxed savoring.
Days 29-31
29. Saturday: Take yourself on a picnic
30. Sunday: Watch the sun set. Go by yourself for a moment of quiet or invite along someone you love.
31. Monday: Give your future self a gift this week by meal prepping for the week ahead.
I hope you have the best month ever!
